ESCP provides complete industrial and commercial powder coating services. Our 850’ Conveyor line enables us to handle a part size up to 7 feet wide by 7 feet high and can handle a part that is up to 10 feet long. Most metal fabrication companies offer powder coating or sub-contract their powder coating to a third party. At ESCP all our manufacturing services are provided under one roof at our headquarters in Davenport, Iowa,
In addition to size and capacity our powder coating system is fully-conveyored and includes a two-stage washing system, drying oven, bake oven, and color booth. Our In-house system allows up to better control quality and production scheduling ensuring your project gets delivered error free and on time.
With over 25 years of experience along with our skilled craftsman, our powder coating process will protect your metal fabrication project just as it protects our returnable steel shipping racks or containers. We can also offer a wide range of colors to meet your specifications.
Powder coatings are essentially a uniform dry mixture of polymer resins, curatives, pigments, leveling agents, flow modifiers, and other additives. These powders are loaded into a spray gun that uses an electrostatic spray deposition (ESD) process to apply the powder coating to a metal substrate. The ESD process applies an electrostatic charge to the powder particles, which are then attracted to the grounded part forming a powdered coating. Once the powder has been applied the part it is sent into a curing oven where, the coating chemically reacts to the heat to produce long molecular chains, resulting in high cross-link density. These molecular chains are very resistant to breakdown. One of the main reasons powder coatings offers such a durable and protective finish.
Powder coating is a high-quality finish that protects the roughest, toughest machinery, and parts. It provides a more durable finish than traditional wet paints can offer and provides a quality looking finish. Powder coated parts are more resistant to impact, abrasion, moisture, chemicals, ultraviolet light, and other extreme weather conditions making it the ideal option for coating industrial and commercial parts and fabrications.
ESCP understand that some applications may still require a more traditional painted finish. We offer painted options and provide the same level of detail in preparing the metal for the paint as well as inspect all of our finished products before they are delivered to you.
